United States
For this post we would like to share our #travelblunder with you, so that history may not repeat itself!
Ever been stuck in the middle of the desert at midnight as your gas light turned on with absolutely no civilization in sight?
We did not have a whole lot of time to spend in Yosemite National Park, so we only passed through - but as you can see, we barely had to make it into the park at all to experience the majesty of Yosemite!
We're not exaggerating when we say we LOVE Utah! It took us by surprise and took our breath away. The burnt orange canyons and plateaus were picture-perfect and as soon as we thought we saw it all, around the corner was yet another display of incredible landscape to blow our minds again. Check out our collection of photographs from our time there below!
Have you ever seen a total solar eclipse? We were able to check this one off the bucket list on Big Summit Prairie in Oregon on August 21, 2017, during Oregon Eclipse Festival. We witnessed this awe-inspiring celestial event with tens of thousands of people complete with a Native American ceremony. It was nothing short of magical. The photos below are a collection that I captured during both the eclipse and the event surrounding it.
A collection of photographs taken during the first leg of our RV road trip, starting in Phoenix, Arizona and heading north through California. Taken with a Nikon D610, DJI Mavic Pro and Sony A6000.
A collection of photographs taken of the famous Redwood National Forests in Northern California. These enormous trees were so breathtaking and sacred - photos don't do them justice, but we hope you enjoy them!
Our RV road trip through the West Coast of the United States has finally begun!
Jimmy and I just hit the road for month-long RV adventure through the west coast of the United States, renting an RV in Phoenix, AZ and heading up the California coast to get to the Global Eclipse Gathering in Oregon, then Burning Man in northern Nevada, and looping back around to Phoenix again.
Jimmy and I met in Bushwick, Brooklyn over 2 years ago and it's where we've lived together ever since, so the 'Shwick, for all its trendy, up-and-coming and increasingly overpriced grittiness, has a special place in our hearts. And for that reason it's only fair we give you guys a solid list of places to head to the next time you're visiting the neighborhood (hopefully not for an "official Bushwick graffiti tour", please no. Cringe.).
Electric Forest Festival in Michigan is one of our favorite American festivals ever. Organized by Insomniac Events, the attention to detail, the vibe, and the lineup are always top-notch. This year was the first year they had two weeks of Electric Forest, and we chose to go to weekend two. We're glad we did, since the crowds were a lot smaller, making the festival much more intimate than previous years!
On May 2017 we decided to give skydiving a shot for the first time. Jimmy's birthday was May 6 and we were naturally in Las Vegas for his birthday, so I (Steph) booked a skydiving adventure for the two of us.
What's the best way to avoid the insane traffic lines heading into Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas? Taking a helicopter in, of course! Heading to EDC Las Vegas Skrillex-style was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives, and we enjoyed every minute of it! Here are some photos we got during the helicopter flight experience.
A stay at Aria Sky Suites in Las Vegas is the ultimate VIP experience. Find out why.
